The School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences (CDIS) at UW-Madison was launched in 2019 and brings together the top ranked departments of Computer Sciences (#17), Statistics (#13), and the Information School (#11). CDIS is lighting the way forward for research and discovery, magnifying the power of medicine, engineering, agriculture, business and more. CDIS is educating versatile, multi-talented graduates across all majors on campus—who form a uniquely prepared talent pipeline that is driving economic growth in the region and beyond. It’s the Wisconsin Idea 2.0—not only will the university’s influence work to the benefit of the people of the state, but this new collaboration makes every idea better.
